The Wool Shed - not just a warehouse in cyberspace but a real wool shop which has been dealing with the kind of yarn on our site for quite a long time (e.g: our first shop was listed as a retailer in Rowan Book 1 in the early 80s and we’ve been selling Colinette since they began). So if you would like to have a chat with someone before going ahead with a project, then please contact us - we’ll be glad to help.
This website will be opening as a full online shop in the near future but this preview should give you an idea of what we offer- not all the yarns, books, etc are on the site yet (only a hundred or so) but there are lots more to follow. If you do order something which we've run out of and can't get in quickly, then we will be in touch to let you know and perhaps to suggest alternatives - just as we do in the real shop. Rest assured that you will not be charged for anything until we send it of to you.
It might be an idea to register with us anyway, even if you are not ordering now because it will speed up the process in future and it means we can enrol you in any loyalty schemes we will be putting in place. We won't bombarding you with emails - just the odd one to tell you about the loyalty scheme and any other significant happenings.
We have now moved our real shop to larger premises, where it combines with an art and craft gallery and a coffee shop/restaurant to form a "destination" site. There's a studio for workshops on site as well. Opening hours are 10-5 : Mon-Sat & 2-5 on Sundays.
We have finally opened the online shop! We hope you think it was worth the wait.
