The Wool Shed - not just a warehouse in cyberspace but a real wool shop, trading since the early 1980s.
We have just been to the Woolfest in Cockermouth which was a great show (and great for the shop as well. Look at the blog for news of one of our successes!)
We moved from Alford, Aberdeenshire to our current location at the end of 2007. Our new premises are considerably larger, which means we have a greater range of yarns and accessories together with an area to sit and browse. (Or just have a knit and natter!) There is a dedicated workshop space on site, together with an art and craft gallery with coffee shop/restaurant.
Our online shop is being updated all the time. Please come back regularly so you don't miss out! If you register with us, this will entitle you to advance notice of workshops and loyalty schemes. We require only minimal information and it will make purchasing from our site extremely quick and easy. Opening hours are Mon-Sat 10-5 & 2-5 on Sundays. If you are in the area and feel like popping in, you will be very welcome. You'll find a map on the Find Us page |

Click Read More see the workshop programme for 2009. We are particularly proud to have Liz Lovick, Carol Meldrum and Anne Makepeace (all well-known authors and designers) to lead the workshops. This isn't a hustle but there is great interest in the September one, so please book soon to be sure of a place. |
